Acute Civil Engineering provided full project management and civil engineering services for this 140-bed student accommodation development in Newcastle, involving the refurbishment and conversion of an existing office building. The project required careful coordination throughout the programme to accommodate evolving client and end-user requirements while maintaining delivery timelines. The groundworks and civil engineering package included complex internal drainage installations connecting new internal stacks through a double basement, alongside reinforced concrete foundations, retaining structures and external hard landscaping works. An additional structure was incorporated into the scope during the programme, with all works successfully delivered within the original contract duration.
